GP Care Wakefield
This service provides urgent and routine GP and Nurse appointments booked through your own surgery (telephone number 01924 237100). Appointments are available from 18:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday 09:00 – 15:00.
Generally, appointments are for those that cannot get to surgery during normal working hours.
Between 22:00 and 08:00 the next morning patients should call 111.
Saturday mornings
Saturday routine care appointments are available for prebooking. However, the building will be closed on Saturday morning!
The practice has its own extended hours session here at Middlestown every Saturday morning for patients with prebooked appointments, anybody that becomes ill and does not have an appointment must ring the 111 the out of hours service. The practice telephone lines will not be open at the weekends.
If you are ill between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8.00am-3.00pm, Middlestown Medical Centre patients also have access to book an urgent West Wakefield Extended Hours appointment with a doctor or nurse at GP Care Wakefield based at Trinity Medical Centre, Wakefield, WF1 1PG.
When you ring the out of hours service on 111 please ask to make an appointment with GP Care Wakefield.
